Vance S. West served professionally for 10 years in the private protection & investigation industry, working for celebrities, VIPs, executives & their families all around the world. A licensed and certified investigative specialist, his training background is a diverse mix of civilian & non-civilian academies. Having subject expertise in surveillance, counter-surveillance, data security & defensive tactics, he has also conducted training for corporations & various law enforcement departments.
Vance began his training in Ninpo martial traditions in the late 1980's within the Bujinkan Kasumi-An curriculum of Stephen K. Hayes. In 1991 he was initiated in to the prestigious Marishi-Kai Instructor's Guild and has been recognized to dan (black belt) ranks in multiple disciplines and traditions. He continues his warrior path in various traditional ryu-ha and contemporary perspectives, and offers specialized training to others. Vance has participated in instruction by world renowned tracker Tom Brown Jr., along with other survival and search-rescue teachers.
Having first heard of Remote Viewing in 1998, Vance has since received training and guidance from many of today's top remote viewing instructors & schools including: PsiTech, Farsight Institute, Maj. Ed Dames, FM Bonsall & the Hawaiian Remote Viewing Guild. He has appeared on various TV and radio programs to discuss remote viewing & offers professional services to those clients, corporations and law enforcement agencies needing information beyond what is conventionally accessible.
Driven by spiritual, theological & human experience, Vance has been immensely affected by the work of many individuals. Most he's been fortunate enough to share varying degrees of time with personally, others have inspired him via their writings. Notable are: His Parents & Brother, Shoto Tanemura, Masaaki Hatsumi, Stephen K. Hayes, Tom Brown Jr., Neale Donald Walsch, Thom Hartman, Anton Szandor LaVey and U.S. Andersen.
